Recogniform Reader is available in two versions: Desktop and Workgroup. The two version have a different architecture but both was designed to process a large amount of form daily, increasing the productivity and decreasing costs.
The capture process is splitted in several phases: scanning, recognition, validation, output. The Desktop version merge all this features in one single application so that a single user can execute the full process in a single workstation. The Workgroup version instead split this features in several applications, each one to execute a specific processing phase on multiple workstations coordinates by a Control Server: Input Station, Recognition Station, Correction Station, Output Station.
The Input Station allows to acquire or import images to be processed, creating batches sent to Control Server by the user.
The Recognition Station automatically get from server the batches to be processed, make the recognition and resend the data to Control Server.
The Correction Station on demand by the user, get a batch to be corrected from the Control Server allowing the data validation, then resend corrected data to server.
The Output Station automatically get ready batches .from server and makes the output
Naturally on a single server can be linked several stations for acquisition, recognition, correction and output..
Both versions allows the use of specific module, the Application Designer, to configure the several kinds of documents to process defining the informations to extract, how to extract them, how to verify and correct recognition, how to output the data.
